As a Geneva-based organisation, Earthmind engages with multilateral organisations relevant to sustainable use, many of which are in Geneva – ILO, IOM, ITC, OHCHR, UNCTAD, UNDR, UNEP, UNHCR, WHO, and WTO, as well as AKF, ICRC, IUCN, WEF, and WWF. Its focus will be grounded in the implementation of GBF Targets 5 and 9—not only as environmental commitments, but as strategic levers for food security, rural livelihoods, and the circular economy. These targets call for the sustainable and legal management, use, harvesting, and trade of wild species for human benefit.
Earthmind is also built on its previous place in the Geneva community as non-profit professional association. Founded originally in 2005, Earthmind built a strong reputation at the interface of biodiversity conservation, responsible business, and economic development. Over two decades, it delivered assignments for a wide range of international and national public agencies, non-profits, and companies. Earthmind’s portfolio spanned voluntary conservation areas, blue economy opportunities, biodiversity‑positive mining, the African wildlife economy, and mangrove carbon. Its track record in establishing and supporting institutions provides a solid foundation for ‘Earthmind 2.0’ as a Geneva-based sustainable use policy centre.
