Earthmind Associates are engage in a wide array of activities supporting the of mainstreaming the sustainable use in multilateral policies and processes and their implementation. This page highlights some of our current activities as well as outreach activities going forward.

  • Wildlife Returns in partnership with the Vinson Centre of the University of Buckingham – providing programme support since 2025
  • IUCN Commissions – CEESP, CEM, SSC, CEM, and CAC – membership and leadership roles since 2006 supporting IUCN’s mission to “ensure that any use of natural resources is equitable and ecologically sustainable”
  • CBD, CITES, and Ramsar – NGO observer status supporting negotiations and policy on sustainable and legal use and trade of wild species

  • Policy Briefs – Short, accessible briefs for negotiators and decision‑makers on issues at the intersection of wild species use, area-based conservation, business, and finance

  • Coffee & croissants – Monthly informal briefings for Geneva‑based missions and international organisations on emerging sustainable use issues
  • Side events – Hosted at key multilateral processes (CITES, CBD, CMS, WTO, UNCTAD, IUCN) to highlight sustainable use perspectives
  • Fireside chats – Conversational webinars with specialists exploring challenges and opportunities in sustainable use policy
